Okies,

The kneepads have been constructed and the crotch plate has been extended, they are both curing with fiberglass attached to them right now. I'll probably give them a coat tonight.

I bought some leather gloves yesterday, so that's all the soft parts done, except the butt length cape, which I will convert to a side fitting cape when I finish my jet pack and back plates.

All I have really left to do is my gauntlets, which I will be heading out to B&Q today to try find some piano hinges and industrial velcro.

Wow, gauntlets are constructed (nearly) they are hinged and velcroed, so they fit, I had to shim them and will need a bit of filler on the side.

Kneepads and crotchplate are glassed, so all everything really needs is a coat of cold cast

Ok here's a few piccies, the left gauntlet is yet to be completed with all the greeblies, but the right gauntlet is complete.

Here is the completed right gaunt, crotchplate and knees.





I have to sand down the left gaunt and paint it, add a cloak and find a way to get the knees to fit me and by jove! I'm ready to apply!

It's pretty easy to make, it's just a cut down CD/DVD spindle with drinking straws glued to it, pieces from a Hasbro Stormtrooper converstion kit, the rear part of the flamethrower box and a bit of an old pen.

Bondo to taste and voila!

Great looking gaunt...you'll have to watch it though, for some reason people still have trouble moving out of your way and bumping into you.
