Ta,

Now, quick question, does my crotchplate look too small?

It might be ok if the thigh plates ride high, but I'd say yeah, it should be bigger...

No thigh plates bud, will be going light armour.

I will lengthen the crotch plate.

Anyhoo, I got both my motorcycle helmet headset for my motorola radio and my voice amplifier today, the helmet set went in pretty neatly. The voice amplifier however was massive and had to take a bit of working with (i.e. taking apart) to get it into some semblance, in the end the battery pack is in one pouch and the amplifer part is in another pouch, had to drill holes in the pouch to let the sound out, but it's all working fine.

Seeing as I am still waiting for my gaunts, I am playing with Skip's pepakura gauntlets, I'm going to aim to do the jet pack, but I thought I'd start with something simple and work up, be interesting to see if I finish the gaunts before I get the ones I ordered!

I used the 6ft WOF templates, but I did have to cut them down a little, I have a 50 chest, so I'd recommend the 6ft and cut them down onto paper and fit them to your body.

Remember the belly plate ends at your navel.

Skips Gauntlets were quite easy, I reconfigured some of the bits to make it my own rather than a clone of Boba (If you forgive the pun).

I covered the paper with resin and will spend some time sanding down and filling in the errors.

My actual kneepads and gaunts turned up today and, even though the pep ones are actually more detailed than the vacuum formed ones sent, I will use those, because they will fit together easier and my job at the moment is to get official as quick as possible.

Knees may cause me a little problem though, I have big legs because that's where a pro wrestler needs his strength for things like suplexes, so the knee pads are a little on the tight end...

Yeah, there is, it's nothing too drastic, but I will need to glass them as well, so the cold cast layer won't crack off with movement, they will then be pretty stiff, so I'll need to ensure that it fits first time.
