Okie doke,

I think I'm done for the day, but just to let you see:

There's the Cold cast bucket, what I did was I put some brass resin and painted it onto the dragon first, then followed up with doing the whole of the bucket with aluminium resin coats, it's glassed underneath.

However, I'm not done quite yet with it, as you can see it needs a good going over with some wire wool, which I'm just too exhausted to do today after the chest plates :)

I have another idea for putting a pattern onto the bucket, which I'll probably plan tonight and then see what happens in the morning :)

Me again,

Couldn't wait, so I just went with the black coat, turned out alright :)

Just got the belly to fiberglass, the crotch and backplate to make and my gaunts and kneepads to come through the darn post!!!

Oh and I've bought some string to make a girth belt.

Lookin great brother brother! Is that a sand gold on the dragon? It looks gold but it's not glaringly metallic.

Nah bro,

It's brass coldcast painted in and polished up, I've also been over with some brown shoe polish to darken the recesses a bit more and it does look like gold :)

Thanks.

A bit more work done, I used my etcher to get the keyslots out, added the comms antennae and did a little bit of light weathering on the bucket.

Hokiedoke!

I've just glassed the stomach plate, so will hopefully be sorting out the top coat of aluminium tonight.

Helmets at a standstill until the plasti dip arrives, then I'll try mounting the fans and batteries, then will go ahead and sort the visor out.

Might have to pop to B&Q to see if there's any cheap grill material around for my keyslot.

Didn't have time to do a coldcast layer, shall be doing that shortly, have now created a centre diamond and will try going directly for a coat, I've used a single pop stud and will try a bit of industrial velcro to keep it still.

I've also decided to go for a cloak at the moment instead of a backplate, I can work on that at a later date, the key for me is to do the minimum I need to get myself a member here, so I can go out and troop with the UK guys and help promote the mercs.

My Knees and Gaunts have been promised to me, so they should come soon, all I'd need is the crotchplate and I should be ready to apply.

The girthbelt worked, kinda, but I think I will go with a cloth alternative, as soon as I find where I put my red Lycra :)

Grr, Just caught my collar plate and the cold cast coat has just snapped and come away from the PVC. Now the collar, I just put a strip of Fiberglass behind the collar to stiffen it up and the one place it flexed the top coat came off...

I'm going to attempt to glue the topcoat down, but I am at a cross roads, should I start again and waste a fiver's worth of metal resin, or should I salvage and upgrade at a later date?

Should be putting another coat onto the belly plate and diamond today as well.
