Vest Measurements. Help Please!!

(1/2) > >>

Tal Vhett:
I am in the process of ordering a vest from Mar'eyce and one of the measurements is length. What is the best way to decide this? I have a long back, but wouldn't my armor stay the same? Advice on this process would be appreciated. It seems like a small detail, but I've seen vests too short or too long and the whole look is off. Cheers in advance.

Mar'eyce:
I hope I can answer your question. I have started asking for desired vest length, because some people like their vest shorter like Boba's and others longer, etc.

Decide where you want the bottom edge of your vest to be in front, and measure from your collarbone down to that point. That is usually enough for me to determine how long to make it. But if the back length is a concern,  get a measurement from the shoulder to the waist(or where you want the bottom of the vest to be) as well.

Please feel free to PM me at any time for assistance or advice! :)

Tal Vhett:
M,

You've been great. I guess what I'm trying to ask everyone is what do they like? Longer or shorter and why?

Jare Hasan:
I'm having mine made a little shorter, about Boba length.  I wear the girth belt, and don't want to have flight suit + vest + girth belt all under my pistol belt.

Tal Vhett:
Thanks Jare,

this helps. I want to wear a girth belt as well. Maybe I'll go with the shorter look. How far below the belly plate? An inch?
