That sounds pretty much how I have it planned, but when I originally did it, it wasn't elastic so much as a strap for tying things down in the back of a truck... Yay hardware store...

Anywho...back on topic...
Here's my next step, painting it red! Why red? Because. Moving on, as I'm sure you can see, I didn't paint the whole thing red...that's because I'm lazy...just kidding...in all seriousness, I'm going to fiddle with it some more, but that has nothing to do with painting...

Well, here's my final image, its a bit rough(you can see the tape) and the metal color ended up as copper instead of silver...mostly because that's all I had...But personally I kinda like it...

Yep, so I proved that its possible come up with the same results as the video (even if you don't have all the same materials). The only thing I'd have to add, is that you definitely use hot glue as it'll hold together better, and keep the edges from fraying...

And vor'e Sinclair, I'm kinda proud of it, even if it turned out a little smaller than intended...

I'm not sure if I should stick with the copper metal or not... I kinda like the way it looks, but is that accurate in any way?

Vor entye, El Kabong. I like hearing that it looks good...that means I did it right...
