Merc's Krayt Squad Invades Youngling's Birthday in SLC UT
On July 28th 2010 Mandalorian Merc Ori Cabur was contracted for a Bounty of a Jedi Youngling named Austen. The Mercenary snuck into the Younglings birthday celebration and stormed the event to claim the price on the younglings head. Ori was ambushed by a large gathering of Jedi and the like. An Epic battle ensued where the Mercenary was bested in a 1 to 15 fight against the younglings. Ori vowed to return in one year’s time to collect that bounty. A big thanks to the family for inviting a Merc for the Event, and for the pledge of donating to the Verd’ika fund. See Pictures Here

Falco Clan and Binghamton FanForce invade the Binghamton Mets!
On Wednesday, July 28th, 2010, members of the Mandalorian Mercs Falco Clan and the Binghamton FanForce invaded "Star Wars Night at the Binghamton Mets". The crowd had a blast. All sorts of Star Wars related movie clips and sounds were used throughout the game and the FanForce and Falco Clan ran a table where we sold lightsabers and did a jail and bail and raised close to $200 for "A Room To Heal" a local charity that the Verdika Fund helped raise money for last year that builds rooms for terminally ill children. The crowd had a blast taking pictures with the costumers and the costumers had a blast siginng autographs and shooting down Spiedie Bottles! It was a ton of fun and the Snowtrooper threw out the first "snowball" for the game. LOL!

Suumpir'ade Invades West Michigan Whitecaps Star Wars Night
The Mercs of Suumpir'ade clan were fortunate to be invited by the 501st to a very memorable day at Fifth Third Field as the West Michigan Whitecaps held their annual Star Wars Night. Although the Mercs attending received a very warm welcome from the 501st, this did not compare to the fun we had making all the visiting kids happy. Everywhere the Mercs were treated to wide smiles and the flashes of cameras as parents wanted the kids to remember the evening at the ballpark. Crowds were treated to a wide variety of costumes, but no matter where they went the Mercs were sure to stand out in their custom painted armors. On this very hot day, it was also great to have some very professional handlers on hand to ensure that those trooping the event were well hydrated and able to make it through the crowds of fans back to some shade. Their stamina in the heat and crowds dashing back and forth across the concourse was beyond amazing and in fact beyond the call in some cases. These were people who took their role with the utmost seriousness and greatly contributed to the events success every bit as much as those in costume if not more. Many items were on sale as well as donation based photo/green screen areas were available of which all went to Make a Wish. So the Mercs hope that they made some more smiles after this very memorable day at the ballpark.

Wampa Squad Invades the Newport Library
On Saturday, May 17th, the Mercs own Wampa Squad invaded the Newport Library and Cultural Center for their special Star Wars Day events. The members in attendance, Biohazard, Arden Fisk, and Mereel A'denla, suited up and made their way through the crowd of enthusiastic Maine Star Wars fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures. During the Trivia Contest, the squad took turns posing harder and harder questions to the audience of some eighty-plus children and parents. Afterward, during the costume contest, six lucky costumed kids took home Star Wars books as prizes for their costumes ranging from Han Solo, to an home-made aluminum foil and soda bottle Jango Fett. A special visitor arrived to help keep the kids in line, too. R2D2 rolled in with Paul Bussiere, a member of the Builder's Club. Together, the little droid and the Mercs promoted both Star Wars and reading in the same exciting day, between blaster bolts and beep, the kid's had an amazing time, and Wampa has already been invited back for a future Star Wars day scheduled for sometime in 2011.

Firaxan Clan invades Blood Drive
On July 16th 2010 The Firaxan Clan was invited to an NEG 501st blood drive taking place at the Providence Children’s Museum. Members Slade Kel, Threkk Gellar, Shuku Bralor and myself were more than happy to entertain the children, pose for pictures, and play some wicked cool games and puzzles. Some of the older children would follow us around asking questions but the younger ones would cry at the mere sight of four mandos walking in front of a stormtrooper, scout trooper, and Darth Vader. Though after be lured in by the offer of a free sticker everyone left with a smile on their faces. Firaxan Clan would like to thank the NEG 501st for inviting them to this event and hope for more to come. Thanks again! More photos HERE

Talon Clan films Celebration 5 promo for the Mercs.
Braving 90 degree temperatures for over 3 hours this weekend, Talon Clan invaded the Carolina Beach State Park to film a small promotional movie that will be debuted at the Mandalorian Mercs table during Celebration 5 in Orlando Florida. The scene filming was gruling the hot and humid weather, however both camera men were able to get some great footage. Root infested forests, swamps, and attacks from handfuls of baby crab weren't enough to keep these brave mandos down! A special thanks goes out to Talon Clan member Riv Serulius, and fellow cameraman Oliver Mellan for the great work and direction! You can see more still images from the shoot at the link below: http://mercs.firespray.net/forum/index.php?topic=26917.60

Vok'Chi takes on the London Film and Comic Con 2010
Jul 19, 2010, 07:18 AM by Saz
Following on from Collectormania 16, the Vok'Chi clan turned up in style, gaining their first table in England and being put in pride of place next to the other costuming groups. We were joined by Adenn Karta and his trooper of a mom who helped us along with Synn's Wife and Mother in law. They worked tirelessly to help on the desk and with photographs. Clan members were: Shadow Vok'Chi Synn Valcar Adenn Karta Kris Jasra Darman Skirata Remo Jadd Saz Shouts also go out to Craden who was perhaps the least observant Jedi when it came to avoiding being hunted down. Saturday saw the arena filled to the brim with people and we all lost count of the amount of photographs that we had taken with people, though Darman Skirata was the Mercs' poster boy with a lot of the professional photographers asking him to pose for their future promotional material. Vok'chi took advantage of this and took one of the charity boxes from a neighbouring costume group for Great Ormand Street Hospital. We reckon Saz talked most of the arena out of their money! The highlight of the day was when the Mercs were invited to an inpromptu photoshoot with Daniel Logan and Jeremy Bulloch, Jeremy braved the organisers' wrath to allow all of the people who had come to their talk to take their photographs with the Mandalorian Mercs. The UK Mercs gave away pamphlets, badges and keyrings to all who were interested, Daniel Logan took several Vok'chi Badges because he kept giving them away to people. At the close of the event a tired but satisfied clan went out for a celebratory drink and a meal. Sunday saw much more of the same with the heat in the arena getting to unbearable levels which everyone was feeling, so the Mercs went outside to speak to the people waiting in line for the queue and having photographs taken with them. Valcar in his new Cold Climate Mando outfit was a massive hit, especially with Daniel Logan who threw his silver pen at Valcar then spent the rest of the event running away from him! Jeremy was very busy with autographs all weekend but did spend a little time to introduce himself to Saz and Remo as he hadn't met them before. Overall the event was very successful and a lot of fun was had. The original core group of Shadow, Valcar and Synn has grown and they are all looking forward to meeting up for the next event.
